There are countless talented chefs with the ability to put together delicious and eloquent meals; however, only a select few can stand out and excel amongst the multitude of accomplished chefs. Chef Gerardo Castro is a rare gem in the culinary world. Born and raised in Mexico; humble beginnings ignited a passion for success and a skill for sourcing herbs, produce, and fine meat to create exquisitely gusto dishes.
Chef Castro, a graduate of the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) has successfully opened 2 restaurants in the Napa Valley. Playing a key role as the executive sous-chef at Farmstead Restaurant serving American farmhouse fare and then as the executive chef at Tarla Meditrranean Grill serving Greek/Turkish fusion cuisine. Both restaurants continue to be prosperous and an integral part of the community.
